Art-Déco Mysterieuse Portique Ref. No. 81358/201421 in gilt silver with onyx, coral, diamonds and emeralds. French hallmarks and "925" on the base and mountings. The entire portico-shaped clock is decorated with onyx. On the front of the base, a florally cut emerald cabochon approx. 17 x 12.7 mm as well as 20 brilliant-cut diamonds and a further 24 brilliant-cut diamonds on the pillars totalling approx. 1.24 ct. in 750/000 gold settings ("marked"). The octagonal case consists of a central rock crystal (d.approx. 9.3, depth approx. 4.6 cm) with inlaid, diamond-set hands, surrounded by an onyx and coral chapter ring with Roman, diamond-set gold numerals, topped by further diamonds (all together approx. 330 stones totalling circa 6,5-7 ct.) and a further emerald cabochon (approx. 18.3 x 14.8 mm). Numbered 201421 and further hallmarks on the foot. Slightly worn. The key-wound movement is concealed in the upper crossbar. The crossbar with hinged lid, signed "Cartier". With a copy of the Cartier insurance invoice from 1984, without box and papers. CATALOGUE NOTE A small chip at the back of the edge of the hinged lid of the upper crossbar.
