Cartier model Mysterieuse/Mystery Clock, reference no. 81232/192471. The case of the watch is made of gilt silver, hallmarked on the back with the Paris guarantee mark and minerva head for 925/000 and signed "Cartier Paris no. 192 471". The base is set with obsidian and coral. The shaft consists of a Chinese jade vase (approx. 12.3x9.6x5.5 mm), set with 10 emerald leaves (approx. 12.4x8.7 to 14.8x10.36 mm, one stone slightly damaged) and 4 diamonds of approx. 0.1 ct. each as well as 4 diamonds in the eyes of the animal head handles. Further setting of diamonds on the mount (22 brilliant-cut diamonds totalling approx. 0.44 ct.). The dial consists of a central, faceted citrine of approx. 1750 ct. (d. ca. 7.5 cm, depth ca. 8 cm), framed by dark mother-of-pearl plaques and coral. The numerals, wreath and hands set with ca. 360 octagonal diamonds and brilliant-cut diamonds as well as 12 emerald cabochons (diam. ca. 4.1 mm). On the back, 8 emerald cabochons (d. 3.68 mm) and a further 28 brilliant-cut diamonds. Numerals and stones set in gold. Further silver hallmarks on the mounts. The hand-wound movement is concealed in the base. Watch starts running, no guarantee. With a copy of Cartier insurance estimation from 1984. Small chip on the back upper right corner of the base. Without original box and papers.
