Model 'Mysterieuse Model A'. Technical design by Maurice Couet (1885-1963). The case is made of rock crystal with 18kt gold mounting, gilt brass and onyx. Fine platinum hands set with diamonds are invisibly driven. The dial is also set with diamond roses (totalling approx. 130 stones of approx. 1.00 ct.). Black onyx base with 4 diamonds at the corners. Movement signed EW & C.Co INC France No. 654. Keywound gilt lever movement, 8-day running time. One corner of the back of the base chipped with an associated hairline crack, the gilding on the stand slightly worn. The upper rock crystal top replaced. No guarantee for the clockwork. With Cartier certificate no. 654. Chips on both lower edges of the front rock crystal plaque - visible only on the inner side
